Federal Aviation Administration Physical Requirements
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires a medical certificate under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Aviation Administration. In order to obtain a medical certificate, you must be examined by a FAA Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). Upon successful completion of your medical examination the AME will complete the remainder of the FAA application form and if all requirements are met, you will be issued a valid medical certificate.
